Florence Trantham

Canton-Florence Ford Trantham, age 87, died Tuesday, December 28, 2004 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. She was a daughter of the late James and Lillie Clark Ford and was the wife of the late Garland Trantham who died in 1962. She was a member of Beulah Baptist Church. She is survived by one daughter Susan Davis and her husband Bennie of Canton, two sisters, Ruby Conard and Hazel Boyd, both of Canton, 2 grandchildren Ginger Garren and her husband Jeff of Fletcher and Brian Davis and his wife Michelle of Canton and 5 great-grandchildren, Patrick, Corissa, Tucker and Taylor Garren and Hunter Davis. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, December 30, 2004 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services. Reverend Virgil Holloway and Reverend Matt Pruett will officiate. Burial will follow at Bon-A-Venture Cemetery on Old Clyde Road. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. At other times, the family will be at the residence of her daughter, Susan Davis, 45 Pondview Lane, Canton, NC 28716. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Silver Bluff Village, Activity Dept., 100 Silver Bluff Drive, Canton, NC 28716 or to one's favorite charity.
