Candler – Florence “Jackie” Wilson, 93, joined her beloved husband, Ray Wilson, in heaven on Friday, March 5, 2021 at Memorial Mission Campus.
Jackie was the daughter of the late Clarence Marion and Lydia Crain Davis. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ray Wilson, who died in 1999; a daughter, Glenna Mann; two brothers; and two sisters.
Jackie was a former employee of Candler School Cafeteria and retired from Bi-Lo Grocery with 20 years of service. She was a member of Ridgeway Baptist Church where she sang in the choir. Jackie was an excellent cook and enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren. She was considered “everybody’s grandmother”.
She is survived by three daughters, Peggy Jordan, Linda Wright and Myra James and her husband, Dale, all of Candler; a sister, Zilla Meadows, of Asheville; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at Ridgeway Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Jack W. Collins officiating.
Memorials may be made to Ridgeway Baptist Church Cemetery Maintenance Fund, 525 Old 19/23 Highway, Candler, NC 28715.
Due to COVID–19, masks and social distancing will be observed.
