Frances Jackson Cowan, 81, of Asheville went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, May 2, 2010. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Nora Jackson. She was the loving wife of the late Bill Cowan who passed away January 1, 2008. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Gabbie Jackson of Waynesville and Houston Jackson of Oregon.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a friend to all and loved by all who knew her. Her listening ear and kind heart will be remembered and dearly missed. She was a member of Inanda Baptist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Marie Jackson and husband Johnny of Lorton, VA, Judy Patton and husband Danny of Marion, one sister, Ruby Browning of Waynesville, one brother, Clinton Jackson of Oregon, six grandchildren, Chad and Matthew Jackson, Christina, Michael, Katie and Ben Patton and one great-granddaughter, Caroline Jackson.

Funeral services will be held 11AM Wednesday in the Chapel of Faith at Forest Lawn with the Rev. Terry House and Rev. Claude Surrett officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening in the chapel from 7-8:30PM.
