Frances Frady

Candler-Frances Faye Frady died Wednesday, July 9, 2003 at Memorial Mission Hospital.

She was one of ten children born to the late Bob and Nellie Trull Frady in the state of Washington on March 30, 1915. There were nine girls and one boy. She was also preceded in death by six sisters; Mary Irene Frady, Ruby Grace Frady, Geraldine Frady, Hazel Burnette, Verna Taylor and Clora Taylor and one brother, Robert Frady. She lived in a mobile home by herself until her sickness on July 4, 2003, which was the only time that she had ever been in the hospital. She was raised poor, but never went hungry or wanted for anything. She was always content with what she had. She loved for her yard to be kept neat and loved working in her garden, going shopping at Winn Dixie, Go Grocery and Walmart. She was a resident of Candler for more than 80 years.

She is survived by two sisters; Vera Fulcher of Candler and Betty Virginia Cole of Leicester, 5 nieces and 9 nephews.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 12, 2003 at Ridgeway Baptist Church with Reverend Jack W. Collins officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the church prior to the service. At other times, the family will be at the sister, Vera Fulcher, 162 Morgan Cove Road, Candler, NC 28715. Serving as pallbearers will be Danny Whitted, Troy Cole, Hoye Taylor, Jeffrey Frady, Jamie Frady and Jeremy Whitted. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Wood Ministry Men of Ridgeway Baptist Church.

Memorials may be made to Ridgeway Baptist Church, Cemetery Maintenance Fund, 525 Old US 19-23 Hwy, Candler, NC 28715.
