Frances Franklin

Waynesville, Frances Brackett Franklin, age 80, passed away on Monday, April 17, 2017 at Maggie Valley Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Clinton and Myrtle Cope Brackett. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Cash W. Franklin, who died in 2001; sister, Peggy Franklin; brother, Eugene Brackett. Frances retired from Dayco Corporation with over 20 years of service. She was a member of Lake Junaluska First Baptist Church and enjoyed sewing and reading. Frances is survived by two sons, Rick Franklin, and his wife, Carolyn, of Waynesville, and Kevin Franklin, and his wife, Carol, of Hilton Head, South Carolina; three sisters, Delores Marcus, Betty Leatherwood and Lynn Mull; brother, Randy Brackett; three grandchildren, Eddie and Keith Franklin and Beth Bolick; and three great-grandchildren, Payton, Shana and Adaee. At Frances's request there will be no services. Memorials may be made to Lake Junaluska First Baptist Church, 154 Sunset Ridge Road, Clyde, NC 28721.
