Frances Israel

Clyde-Frances Sarah Israel, age 67, of Cherry Brook Lane, died on Thursday, July 20, 2006 at her residence. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Melvin and Emma Teems Hall. She was employed by American Enka for 15 years and retired from Champion International after 20 years. Frances was a member of New Hope Church of God and enjoyed cooking and volunteering at her church and the Open Door in Waynesville. She is survived by three sons, Kevin Israel and wife, Reneé, of Canton, Kerry Israel and wife, Brenda, of Winston-Salem, and Kim Israel and wife, Tracey, of Huntersville, NC; one grandson, Colby Israel; and a special friend, Willie Deese. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 23, 2006 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Timothy Howard officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. on Sunday prior to services. Serving as pallbearers will be Ernest and Roger Stamey, Mark Cabe, and Jody Davis. Memorials may be made to New Hope Church of God, 24 Hallelujah Drive, Waynesville, NC 28786.
