Frances Moody

Frances Campbell Moody, age 89, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2009 at Clay County Care Center in Hayesville. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she had resided in Hayesville for the last 3 years. She was a daughter of the late A. H. and Eva Dale Young Campbell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Luther K. Moody, who died in 1962; two sisters, Mary Sue Campbell and Eva Fowler; and two brothers, George and Carl Campbell. Frances retired from American Enka Corporation in 1982. She is survived by a son, Jackson L. Moody and his wife, Norma; one daughter, Patricia Carole Moody all of Hayesville; two brothers, Ralph Campbell and his wife, Doris, of Canton, and Billy E. Campbell and his wife Marie, of Candler. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 19, 2009 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Rondle Ford officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Candler. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service.
