Frances Payne

Frances Hipps Justice Payne, 93, died on Sunday, February 12, 2012 at the St. Joseph Campus of Mission Hospitals. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Benton and Clara Mae Miller Hipps. Frances retired from American Enka Corporation, and was preceded in death by two husbands: James Norton Justice and Jack C. Payne. She is survived by four sons: William Keith Justice and Niles Norton Justice of Candler, and Michael Gray Justice and Donnie Lee Davis of Asheville; nine grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. A private graveside service for family will be held Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at Pisgah View Memorial Park.
