Clyde, Frances Price, age 71, passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at Jefferson City Health and Rehabilitation Center. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Robert Furman and Ava Lee Dawson Jones. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Patton Price, who died in 1992; a son, William Lawson Suttles; and two sisters, Juanita Faye Sockwell and Nellie Newman. She owned and operated Little Bill's Drive-in, Jim's Drive-in, and Hazelwood Grocery. Frances was voted "Mother of the year" three consecutive years in a row. She was well known for her homemade pies and baked goods and won several awards for in local fairs. Frances never met a stranger and had a special connection with many young people whom she cared for. She was a member of Fincher's Chapel United Methodist Church and attended Cosby Tennessee Missionary Baptist Church. She is survived by a son Nicholas Price (Mandy) of Newport, Tennessee; two daughters, Annette Lotfy (Sam) of Kenilworth, New Jersey and Mary Frances Bathurst (Doug) of Blackwell, Oklahoma; her aunt, Hazel Newman; four sisters, Vessie Saylor (David), Pearl Hicks, Alma Jones, and Gladys Robinson (Ronnie); one brother, Bobby Jones (Eloise); six grandchildren, Hyle Cheré Bathurst, Samantha and Stephanie Lotfy, Megan Carson, Madison Price, and Chase Wilson; ten nieces and seven nephews; and special friends, Misty Wilson (who she thought of as a daughter), Jeff Lane, Chad and Marlena McGaha, Wesley Valentine, Calvin Reynolds, Chris Reed, Ben Proffit, Chris Gunter, and many others, whom she cared for dearly. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at Fincher's Chapel United Methodist Church where the body will lie in state an hour prior to services. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Jeff Clark, Robert Willis, Sammy Sockwell, Calvin Reynolds, Ben Proffitt, Bill Frazier, and Chris Reed. Honorary pallbearers will be David Saylor, Andy Jones, Bob Suttles, Roger Hendrix, Wesley Valentine, and Will Hamel. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville. Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, P.O.
