Frances Stroupe

Frances Case Stroupe, age 90, died on Friday, August 12, 2011, at Canton Christian Convalescent Center. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Luther and Martha Gibson Case. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Stroupe, who died in 1971; an infant son, Donald Stroupe, a son, Kenneth Stroupe, who died in 1997; seven brothers; and two sisters. She was a member of Clyde Freewill Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Patricia A. Wheeler and her husband, Earl, of Clyde; a daughter-in-law, Sandra Stroupe of Houston, TX; four grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, August 15, 2011, at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Elisha Fish and Reverend Ted Reeves officiating. Burial will follow at Bon-A-Venture Cemetery, Old Clyde Road. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
