Clyde, NC - Frances Caswell Williams, 64, passed away at home in Clyde on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 after a long battle with ovarian cancer.

She was a National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) trained peer counselor and advocate for those suffering from bipolar depression, and she led a peer group once a week at her church.

In addition to her father, Frances is survived by her husband of 42 years, John Williams; daughters, Elanor Williams of Bloomington, Indiana and Catherine Williams of Weaverville, North Carolina; four sisters, Susan Quaglia of Manchester, Connecticut, Elizabeth Cini of Springfield, Massachusetts, Martha Jaffe of Rocky Hill, Connecticut and Diane Christian of Suffield, Connecticut; and one brother, William Caswell of Baldwinsville, New York.

A memorial service will be held at St. Andrews on the Hill Episcopal Church in Canton, North Carolina at a later date.
