Frank Adams

Frank Greenfield Adams, age 79, died Monday, January 25, 2010 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. A native of Catlettsburg, KY, he was a son of the late Frank and Dot Green Adams. Frank learned to fly a plane at the age of 13. His hobby of flying led him to enlist in the Air Force. Following his time in the Air Force, he worked for the Central Intelligence Agency. Frank also owned and operated his own electronic business in Boone. During his retirement years, he enjoyed traveling the United States with his best friend Philip. Frank was also a United States Marine veteran of World War II. He is survived by four daughters, Tamara Miller and her husband, Emanuel, of Clyde, Cynthia Dunlop and her husband, Mathias, Colin Overholt, and Jami Gore, all of Sarasota, FL; five grandchildren, Jacob and Josiah Miller, Delaney Dunlop, Ashley Overholt, and Jessica Gore. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon Monday, February 1, 2010 at the North Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain. Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services of Canton is in charge of the arrangements.
