Clyde, Frank Gale Davis, age 85, of 316 Stonehouse Trail, Clyde passed away of Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at the Homestead. A native of Haywood County, he was the son of the late James Harrison and Connie Fullbright Davis. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Elizabeth Ann Davis, who died in 1994; his second wife, Josephine Hoyle Davis who died in 2014; a daughter, Lisa Davis; and a brother Howard Benjamin Davis. Frank was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a farmer. He also enjoyed fishing, grouse hunting and camping, and he was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. Frank is survived by a daughter, Linda Ferguson (Wendell), of the Iron Duff community; a son, Martin Davis (Sandra), of Clyde; two sisters, Margie Kury, of Asheville; and JoAnn Carter, of Alexander; three grandchildren, Tammy Sutton (Chris), Connie Clark (Tommy) and Marty Davis (Kelly); and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, January 1, 2016 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Billy Ferguson officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. A reception will follow the service at the Wells Events & Reception Center.
