Frank Hewitt

Frank 'Ken' Hewitt, 65, of Candler, formally of Tampa, FL, passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2009 at St. Joseph's Hospital. Born in Melrose, MA to the late Lillian Ferguson and Herbert Hewitt, Ken lived here in WNC for the last 10 years. He was known throughout the community as an amazing glass artist. He was a quiet and soft spoken blue eyed flirt.

Survivors include his wife of 21 years B. Leigh Hewitt of the home, son, Tyrone Shire and wife Mercedes of CT, grandchildren, Chelce and Michael Shire of CT, step-mother, Ann Hewitt, sister, Judith Hewitt both of MA and brother, Richard Hewitt of FL.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
