Frank Messer

Waynesville-Frank Hugh Messer, age 92, of 17984 Great Smoky Mountain Expressway, died Thursday, November 11, 2004 at Harris Regional Hospital in Sylva. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Hosea and Polly Bulletin Messer. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Henson Messer who died in 2001. He retired from Lea Industries after more than 25 years of employment. He is survived by a son, Eugene Messer; two daughters, Jackie Sue Farmer and Polly Lena Rayes; and a brother, Dave Messer, all of Waynesville; three grandchildren, Treagon Messer, Amanda Kerns, and Mylinda Aguire; and three great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 13, 2004 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Ernest Messer officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 9:30 until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday prior to the service.
