Frank Moody

Waynesville-Frank D. ''Pet'' Moody, age 69, of 12 Yarborough Street, died Friday, December 12, 2003 at St. Joseph's Hospital.

He was a native and life long resident of Haywood County. He was the son of the late Noble and Esther Wilson Moody. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Ed Moody and by a sister, Cora Parker.

He retired from the Lake Junaluska Assembly and A.C. Lawrence Leather Company.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Ruby Moody; two daughters, Janet Crowder and her husband, Randy of Marion, and Sally Clark of Waynesville; one son, Marty Moody and his wife, Kim of Clyde; three sisters, Maude Phillips of Waynesville, Mildred Baggett and Frances Watts, both of Candler; two brothers, Otis and Ralph Moody, both of Waynesville; six grandchildren, Megan and Ethan Clark, Jeff and Jonathan Crowder, and Travis and Tyler Shipman.

Memorial services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Monday, December 15, 2003 at the Narrow Road Free Methodist Church in Waynesville. The Reverend Wayne Yarborough will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. Monday, prior to the services, at the church. At other times, the family will be at the residence.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Asheville Specialty Hospital, 509 Biltmore Avenue, Asheville, NC 28801.

Wells Funeral Home in Waynesville is in charge of arrangements.
