Frankie Messer

Waynesville-Frankie Sue Messer, age 67, of 282 Pinnacle Drive, died on Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Margaret Curtis Arrington. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Cary Grant Arrington. She attended Pleasant Balsam Baptist Church and enjoyed growing her flowers and feeding the hummingbirds. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Arthur Lee Messer; her children, Mary Pless and her husband, Jeff, of Waynesville and Michael Messer and his wife, Debra, all of Waynesville; one brother, Bobby Wayne Arrington, of Canton; one grandson, Dustin Lee Messer; and a stepgrandson, Chris Pless. Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, November 9, 2007 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville with Reverend Ted Reeves officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Haywood County Rescue Squad, P.O.
