Frankie Robinson

Canton –Frankie Stamey Robinson, age 84, passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at the Homestead. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Frank J. and Myrtle Trout Stamey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, L. A. Robinson, who died in 2010; two sons, Ricky Dale and Dicky Hale Robinson; a sister, Lucille Robinson; and a brother, Norman Stamey. Frankie was employed with Belk's and retired after 22 years of service as a sales clerk. She was a member of the Canton Freewill Baptist Church. She is survived by three sons, Larry Robinson, Gary Robinson and his wife, Dora, and Alan Robinson and his wife, Cathy, all of Canton; grandchildren, Jeremy Robinson and his wife, Amanda, of Canton, Amy Robinson, of Charlotte, Rocky Banks, Brittany Banks and Ashley Smathers; and four great-grandchildren, Nathan Robinson, Emily Meyers, Courtney and Hunter Stacy, all of Canton. Memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 14, 2015 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Dr. Timothy Howard and Reverend Brian Bird officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
