Frankie Russell

Waynesville- Frances Josephine "Frankie" Hughes Russell, of East Marshall Street went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 23, 2007 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. A native of Jackson County, but lived most of her life in Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Cameron and Carrie Snyder Hughes. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joe Terrell Russell, who died in 1975. Mrs. Russell was a volunteer with the Haywood County Hospital Auxillary. She was a member of Hazelwood Presbyterian Church. She is survived by one son, Bobby McKay, of Waynesville; two grandchildren, Alex McKay, of Waynesville and Robin Beeler, of Kernersville and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 26, 2007 at Garrett- Hillcrest Mausoleum Chapel with the Reverend Larry Wilson officiating. Entombment will follow at Garrett- Hillcrest Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 11:00 until 11:30 a.m. prior to the service.
