Frederick Wenzel, Sr.

Lake Junaluska-Frederick G. Wenzel, Sr., age 96, died on February 23, 2006 at Silver Bluff Nursing Home. He was born in Brooklyn, NY but lived the past sixteen years in Haywood County. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 74 years, Rose K. Wenzel who died in 2005. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Eileen Adams and husband, Dr. Martin Adams of New Jersey; two sons, Dr. Frederick Wenzel and wife, Judy, of Clyde and Dr. Donald Wenzel and wife, Rose Marie, of Chapel Hill; beloved grandsons and granddaughters, Dr. Frederick Wenzel IV of Virginia, Dr. Christopher Wenzel of Waynesville, Attorney Derek Wenzel of Waynesville, Dr. Curtis Adams of New Jersey, and Attorney Drew Adams of Massachusetts, Attorney Christina Wenzel of Washington, DC and Dr. Lisa Hamilton of Texas; and twelve great grandchildren and other relatives. Graveside services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 26, 2006 at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens with Deacon Gerald LaPointe officiating. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
