Gail Colford

Waynesville, Gail Clark Phinney Colford, 75, passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. She was born in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, daughter of the late James C. and Caroline Lee McCasslin Phinney. Along with her husband, she was the former co-owner of Maggie's Galley Seafood Restaurant. Gail lived large, loved hard and spread laughter wherever she went. She was an Elvis enthusiast and an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan. She enjoyed cooking, travelling and spending time with her family. After retiring, she developed a love of painting and was an active member and secretary of the Maggie Valley Lions Club. Gail is survived by her husband of 31 years, Larry Colford; her children, Vickie Staib, Rick Seibert, Helen Pollifrone, Bob Stackhouse, Ed Seibert, Callie Grippo, James Mutch, Melissa Lane and Alan Mutch; two sisters, Helen Goodwin and Caroline "Callie" Crates; and 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Private family services will be held.
