Gary Hooks

Gary Clayton Hooks, 58, of Soco Road, died Thursday, January 23, 2003 at Haywood Regional Medical Center.

A native of Charlotte, NC; he had lived in Bowling Green KY before moving to Maggie Valley six years ago. He is the son of Helen Jordan Hooks of Maggie Valley and the late J. C. Hooks. He attended Maggie Valley First Baptist Church and was a member of the Maggie Valley Civic Association.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 23 years Donna Kay Hooks;
one daughter, Tracie Bays of Bel Aire, MD; one son, Jason Hooks of Frederick, MD;
two brothers, James Hooks of Raleigh, NC and Ted Hooks of Anniston, AL; 6 grandchildren, Chris, Connor and Corey Bays; Brandon, Bailey and Destiny Hooks.

Memorial Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 26, 2003 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Homes with Reverend Joe L. Adams officiating.
