Geneva Flynn

Canton - Geneva Cook Flynn, age 81, of Henson Cove Road died Wednesday, June 15, 2005 at her residence. She was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and the daughter of the late Arthur Riley and Nancy Ellen Cathey Cook. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Ben Flynn who died in December 2000, five sisters and four brothers. She was a member of Canton First Baptist Church where she worked in the nursery for many years and was a member of the Berean Sunday School Class. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by a daughter, Nancy Flynn Burnette and her husband, Charles of Hickory; a son, David Joe Flynn and his wife, Shelly of Candler; a sister, Edna Bradley and a brother, Ray Cooke and his wife, Edith all of Canton; two grandchildren, Sherry Foskey and her husband, Edward of Middleburg, FL and Neala Cline of Hickory; three great grandchildren, Ashlyn and Michaela Foskey and Joshua Cline. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 18, 2005 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Homes and Cremation Services with the Reverend Dr. Rick Gosnell officiating. Burial will follow at Long's Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 - 1:45 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home. At other times, the family will be at the residence on Henson Cove Road.
