Geneva Jones

Geneva Saunders Jones, age 83, died on Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at Universal Healthcare in Fletcher. She was a native of Pennington Gap, VA and was the daughter of the late Robert Le e and Cora Kinsland Saunders. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clifford G. Jones, who died in 1999, a granddaughter, Susan Jones; two brothers, Haywood and R. L. Saunders. She was raised in Haywood County. She was the owner and operator of Jenny's Bookstore and was a member of West Canton Baptist Church. Geneva was an avid reader and book collector. She also enjoyed stream fishing and listening to her favorite music. She is survived by two sons, Allan Jones and his wife, Suzette, of Marshall and Richard Jones and his wife, Gail, of Candler; a brother, Kenneth Saunders of Cleveland, TN; three grandchildren, Heather, Heath, and Leigh; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 19, 2010, at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. prior to the service at Wells Funeral Home of Canton.
