Geneva Medford

Waynesville-Geneva Burr Smith Medford, age 90, of 1306 Allens Creek Road, passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2006 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Rowe and Dolly Green Smith. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Lou Mims and Robina Hawkins and one brother, Ed Smith. She is survived by four sons, James Medford and his wife, Freida, of Waynesville, Joel Medford and his wife, Kathy, of Franklin, Jerry Medford of Morganton, and Jackie Medford of Cashiers; one sister, Roxie Brown, of Waynesville; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 20, 2006 at Buchanan Cemetery with Reverend Tommy Crocker officiating.
