Geneva Morancie

Geneva Paxton Morancie, age 77, died Friday, November 7, 2008 at Canton Christian Convalescent Center. A native of Haywood County, she was a daughter of the late John Paxton and Fannie Fish Paxton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Morancie, who died in 1994, and one son, Howard Paxton. Geneva always had a special place in her heart for pets. Geneva worked at Burger King in Canton for several years and she also enjoyed gardening and making jelly. In addition to her mother, she is survived by one sister, Janie Paxton Henderson and her husband, Joseph, of Canton; three brothers, Bobby Paxton and his wife, Mary Lee, of Canton, Max Paxton of Waynesville, and Troy Paxton and his wife, Carol, of Portsmouth, VA. No services are planned at this time but burial will be held in New Hampshire. Memorials may be made to SARGE'S Animal Rescue Foundation, Inc., P.O. Box 854, Waynesville, NC 28786. Wells Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Canton is in charge of the arrangements.
