Genevie Hall

Genevie Nannie McCreary Hall, age 84, passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at her residence. A native of Haywood County, she was a daughter of the late Swann Bronson and Mary Etta Clark McCreary. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister. She was a member of Morning Star United Methodist Church where she served as former treasurer of the UMW, prayer chain coordinator, a member of the Maxwell Sunday school class, and of the choir. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Thomas Green Hall, Sr.; two sons, Tommy Hall and his wife, Mary, and Robert Hall and his wife, Dennissa, all of Canton; two daughters, Annetta Andrews and her husband, Andy, of Durham, and Pattie Chastain and her husband, David, of Candler; five grandchildren, Sheila Zavaglia, Angela Chastain Tammy Irish, Allen Andrews, and Anthony Hall; and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 20, 2009 at Morning Star United Methodist Church with Reverend Doug Love officiating. Burial will follow at Morning Star Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Wells Funeral Home of Canton. Memorials may be made to Morning Star Cemetery Fund, P.O.
