Genevieve Ledford

Clyde-Genevieve Rathbone Ledford, age 89 died Monday, November 28, 2005 at Silver Bluff Nursing Home. She was the daughter of the late Richard and Etta Rathbone. She was also preceded in death by a daughter Christine Ledford Holland and a son Gus David Ledford. Mrs. Ledford was a member of Belmont Baptist Church and enjoyed quilting and gardening. She is survived by her husband of 75 years, William Ledford of Fines Creek, 2 daughters Louise Sutton and her husband Robert of Candler, Anna Jean Henson and her husband "Sam" of Canton, one son Joe Ledford and his wife Jessie of Canton, 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 1, 2005 at Fines Creek Memorial Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 1:50 p.m. at the church prior to the service. Serving as pallbearers will be Dewayne Ledford, Matthew Swanger, Damon Swnger, Sammy Joe Henson, David Holland and Jeff Foster.
