George Franklin

Lake Junaluska, George Franklin, age 80, of Davie, Fl. and Lake Junaluska passed away on Monday, March 3, 2008. He was born in Miami, Fl. May 16, 1927, and was the son of the late John E. Franklin and Ruth McClary Franklin. George grew up in Miami and attended Miami Senior High School and later Southeastern Louisiana College. He was a US Navy veteran of WWII. George was a pharmaceutical representative before retiring. He is survived by his wife, Cecelia Franklin; son, John D. Franklin and his wife, Nancy; one sister, Ellen Willliams and her husband, Gary G. Williams, Jr.; one nephew Gary Williams III, and his wife, Diane; and two great-nieces, Laura and Nicole Williams. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2008 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
