George Gaddy

Waynesville-George Stewart Gaddy, age 71, of 105 Prevost Street, died on Sunday, June 11, 2006 at his residence. A native and life-long resident of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Jerry and Lillian Messer Gaddy and was also preceded in death by a brother, Boyd Gaddy. He was a US Army veteran and was employed by Vigero Industries as a truck driver for 30 years before retiring in 1999. He is survived by his wife of 5 years, Carolyn Gillett Gaddy; a son, Perry Gaddy, of Bethel; and a stepdaughter, April Gillett, of Waynesville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 15, 2006 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Jerry Nelson, Reverend Bill Jenkins, and Reverend Alan Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening at the funeral home, and at other time, the family will be at the residence. Serving as pallbearers will be David Beachum, David and Lloyd Gaddy, Bill Green, Kevin Bolden, Mack Noland, Clint Lanning, and Charles Silvers.
