George Haug

February 22, 1936 — April 23, 2013

George Frederick Franklin Haug "Fritz", 77, of Asheville, passed away on Tuesday, April 23rd. Born in Hyde Park, NY to the late George and Florence Trowbridge Haug, he served as a Marine during the Korean War. Fritz enjoyed woodworking and continued in his father's love for working on cars.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Vera Dunville and brother, Richard Haug.
He is survived by his wife, Zoda Janette Nelon Haug; children, Kathie Chambers, Garry and Harley Haug; sister, Roberta Pryor; 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6-8PM at Moore Funeral Home at Forest Lawn, Candler on Friday, April 26th. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, April 27th at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Arden. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Cane Creek Baptist Church in Mill Spring.
