George Marshall Kirkpatrick passed away on January 25, 2025 at the age of 86. George was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall and Geraldine Few Kirkpatrick, who guided him throughout his formative years, instilling in him the qualities that would define his character.
George dedicated many years of his life to his career at Champion Paper in the Extruder Department, where he was known for his hard work and commitment.
Beyond his professional life, George found immense joy in the simplicity of nature and the richness of family. He had a deep appreciation for farming, often spending time tending to his cattle, and he took great pleasure in gardening. The outdoors was his sanctuary, where he felt most at home. An avid horseback rider, George embraced the thrill of riding and the freedom it provided.
George was a devout Christian and his beliefs were an integral part of his daily life. He embodied values of kindness and perseverance, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew him.
He was the loving husband of Dale McCracken Kirkpatrick for 66 years, with whom he shared a life full of love, laughter, and adventure. Together, they raised a beautiful family. George’s legacy continues through their children, a son, Mike Kirkpatrick and one daughter, Sharon Kirkpatrick as well as his grandchildren, Shanna, Holly, and Anna along with two great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his brother, Bud Kirkpatrick (Sandra), who will carry forward the memories of their time together.
Per George's request no services will be held.
