George Mann

Mann, George Roland, 84, went to be with our Lord, Jesus, on Sunday, February 20, 2011 at the VA Medical Center, Asheville.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Lucy, his children; George R., Jr. and his wife, Barbara, Bruce S. and wife, Phylis, Jessica and husband, Roy Whitaker and Christine and husband, Jack Moody. He will be missed by his six grandchildren; Neal, Bruce and Christian Whitaker, Erika and George R. Mann III, and Kimberly Mann.
Mr. Mann served in the Navy (Seabees) in World War II and was a member of the VFW Post 9939 in Hominy Valley.
A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 26, 2011 at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 785 Paragon Parkway, Clyde, NC 28721.
