Georgia Trantham

GEORGIA TRANTHAM Clyde-Georgia May Trantham, age 95, of 113 Mountain View Street, Clyde, died Saturday, July 1, 2006 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Steve and Rachel Ferguson Duckett. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Juanita Trantham and her husband, Clyde Trantham, who died in 1991; three brothers, Herman, Charles and Ferguson Duckett and one sister, Bonnie Verastko. Mrs. Trantham was the founder of Kiddieland Daycare in Clyde, North Carolina. She was a member of the Pine Grove Methodist Church. She is survived by one daughter, Judith T. Johnson and her fiancée Thomas R. Ford one son Wayne Trantham and his wife, Fran, all of Clyde. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 6, 2006 in the Chapel of Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville with Reverend Paula Dempsey officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 5, 2006 at the funeral home. Memorial by be made to Pine Grove United Methodist Church, 3625 Max Patch Road, Clyde, NC 28721.
