Georgia Wright

Asheville-Georgia Lee Robinson Wright, age 89 died Monday, October 20, 2003 at St. Joseph's Hospital.

She was a native of Haywood County. Born in the Beaverdam community of Canton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Alvertis "Vert" and Martha Lena Gaddy Robinson. She was a nurses aide at Mission, St. Joseph Health Systems before retiring. She spent her life taking care of people and was a much loved mother, grandmother and sister who will be greatly missed. She was a member of Morningside Baptist Church in Asheville.

She is survived by a daughter, Glenna Stephenson of Asheville, two sisters; Rosie Reynolds and Vangie Wheeler, both of Candler, one brother, Jack Robinson and his wife Emma Lue of Asheville and 1 grandson and his wife; Johnny Stephenson, Jr. and Pam.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 23, 2003 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Homes with Reverend Dennis Thurman officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
