Georgie Ledbetter

Waynesville-Georgie Warren Ledbetter, age 92, formerly of Canton, died Tuesday, December 21, 2004 at Hillcrest Hospital in Simpsonville, SC. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Holden and Cordelia Pruitt Warren. She was also preceded in death by her husband, R.C. Ledbetter, who died in 1958; a son, Jerry Cashous Ledbetter; and a sister, Mary Hersey. She was a member of Riverside Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Mildred Lee Moss, and her husband, Bill, of Simpsonville, SC; a brother, Willie Warren, of Canton; a sister, Windfred Stephenson, of Hickory, NC; three grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 23, 2004 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Glenn Bryant and Reverend T. M. Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Serving as pallbearers will be Tre Ledbetter, Robert Moss, Dean Griffin, Teddy Rogers, Eugene Christopher, and Michael Burroughs.
