Canton - Georgie Worley Mulvaney, 93, passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Silver Bluff Nursing Home.

A native of Haywood County, she was a daughter of the late Andy Marvin and Lula Rhea Worley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Cora Mae Phillips and her husband, Robert. Georgie was a life-long member of Beaverdam United Methodist Church and a past organist. She retired as an accountant from Champion International with 35 years of service.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 1, 2018 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend David W. Childers officiating. Burial will follow at Beaverdam Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Frank Mulvaney, Jr. and a daughter, Lee Ann Mulvaney Fish and her husband, Randy, of Lawrenceville, Georgia; a nephew, Martin Phillips (Joy) and their daughter, Arianna of Canton.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Silver Bluff for the wonderful treatment and care that was given to their loved one and to them at this time of bereavement.
