Gerald Conley

Gerald L. Conley, 81, of West Asheville, passed away on Tuesday, February 28th, 2012. A native of Swain County, he was the son of the late James Bert and Lillie Mae Parham Conley. Gerald was a Coast Guard Veteran and a member of the Nichols-West Asheville Masonic Lodge #650, a32 Degree Mason, Scottish Rite, York Rite and Shriner and Sunrise Baptist Church. He worked at Biltmore Iron & Metal for 36 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Errol Conley.
He is survived by his wife, Faye Roland Conley; brother, James B. Conley and his wife, Marie; sister-in-law, Linda Conley; beloved pet, Ginger; special friend, Glenn Woody and several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 3rd at Sunrise Baptist Church, 419 Deaverview Road, Asheville. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 12:30PM until the service. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Candler with a Masonic Service and Military Honors.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sunrise Baptist Church.
