Gerald Jones

Gerald Edward "Bill" Jones, age 73, of Jones Cove Road, died Thursday, November 27, 2008, at his residence. A native of Dyersburg, TN, he had resided in Haywood County since 1996 and was the son of the late John I. and Mary Baker Jones. He was also preceded in death by a brother and a sister. He retired from AirDraulics in Memphis, TN. Bill was starter at Springdale Country Club in recent years. He was a United States Army Veteran serving in Korea and Vietnam. He is survived by three sons, John Henderson and his wife, Theresa, of Columbia, SC; Curtis Jones of Dyersburg, TN, and Douglas Jones of Bloomington, IN; two sisters, Helen Moore of Memphis, TN and Marie Wallace of Dyersburg, TN; four grandchildren; and best friend in life, Nancy Henderson of Clyde. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 2, 2008, at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services with the Reverend Dr. David Phillips officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:45 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, P. O.
