Gerald Mccracken

Waynesville-Gerald Franklin McCracken, age 54, died Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at his home in the Jonathan Creek Community. He was born in Jackson, Mississippi on August 12, 1952, and had resided in Haywood County since 1980. He was the son of the late Weaver H. and Frances D. McCracken, Jr. He is survived by his brother, Weaver H. McCracken, III and his wife, Sylvia, of Clinton, Mississippi; nieces, Caroline Ruth McCracken and Katherine Ann McCracken also of Clinton; an aunt, Emily McCracken Bradley and her husband, Richard; an uncle, Harry B. McCracken and his wife, Elise, all of Waynesville; and several cousins. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 22, 2007 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Homes with Dr. Weaver H. McCracken III officiating. Burial will follow at Dawn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be Lynn Bradley, Ron, Susan, and Bradley Breese, and John and Doug Dodson.
