Geraldine Massie

Geraldine styles Massie, 90, of Candler, passed away of Sunday, June 9, 2017 at Aston Park Healthcare Center. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Ed and Ruth Rogers Styles and had lived in Buncombe County for many years. Geraldine enjoyed gardening, quilting and reading and was retired from American Enka.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marcell Massie; son, Douglas Massie, and sister, Helen Carver.
She is survived by her children, Patricia (Charles) Ball, Helen (BJ) Roberts, Steve (Darlene) Massie; grandchildren, James Robertson, Charles Ball, Marcie (Andy) Ball, and Emily Whitmire; great grandchildren, Kate Robertson, Lillian Ball, and Erica (Ricki) Herdman; and several nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, July 12th at Pisgah View Memorial Park, Candler. The family will receive friends after the service at her son Steve's home, 681 Enka Lake Road, Candler.
The family wishes to express their gratitude for the loving, wonderful care provided by the staff of Aston Park Health Care Center.
And think of her as living in the hearts of those she touched, for nothing loved is ever lost and she was loved so much.
