Geraldine Morgan

Geraldine Melton Morgan, age 74, died Sunday, January 31, 2010, at her residence. A native of Clay County, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Osa Cruise Melton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Morgan who died in 1998. She was a member of Mountain View Church of God. Geraldine loved her God, her church and her grandchildren. She is survived by three daughters, Kathy Burrus and her husband, William, of Waynesville, Reba Hall and Rebecca Morgan both of Canton; and six grandchildren, Emily Burrus, James Hall, and Hope, Lindsey, Jessica, and Thomas Wright. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 4, 2010, at Mountain View Church of God with the Reverend Herman Toney officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Wells Funeral Home of Canton. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain View Church of God, for Missions/ Haiti, P. O. Box 553, Canton, NC 28716.
