Geraldine Salgado

Geraldine Gunter Salgado, 80, formerly of Candler, passed away Wednesday, July 20th in Glennville, Georgia. A native of Haywood County, she was a daughter of the late John P. and Lucy M. Gentry Gunter. She had been a member of West Asheville Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, David Salgado; children, Lawrence Ray Smith and Patricia Lynn Jordan; brothers, Lloyd and Johnny Gunter and sister, Marie Vazquez.
She is survived by her children, Sandra (Troy) Tidwell of Candler, Judy (Bill) Bern of Washington and Dennis Smith of Lexington, SC; sister, Carolyn G. Davis Biddix of Candler; 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Monday, July 25th from 5-7PM at Moore Funeral Home at Forest Lawn, Candler. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 26th in the Moore Funeral Home at Forest Lawn Chapel of Faith. Interment will follow at Green Hills Cemetery, Asheville.
