Glada King

Asheville-Glada Clark King, age 79, formerly of Big Sandy Mush died Wednesday, May 19, 2004 at Pisgah Manor Nursing Home. She was a native of Buncombe County and had lived there most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Letch and Hattie Capps Clark and was preceded in death by a sister Maude King Clark. She is survived by three daughters, Shirley Canupp of Spartanburg, SC, Katherine Annette King and Twana Lynn King both of Oklahoma City, Ok.; one son, Bobby Ray King of Canton; one sister, Gladys Clark King of Candler; four brothers, Paul Clark of Candler, Tom Clark of Gastonia and Bill and Eddie Clark of Leicester; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 21, 2004 at Luther Pentecostal Holiness Church with Reverend Betty Drake and Reverend Heath Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Big Sandy Mush United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services in Canton. At other times, the family will be at her brother, Paul Clark's home, Morgan Cove Road in Candler.
