Gladys Beasley

Waynesville, Gladys Marion Beasley, age 82, passed peacefully on Friday, February 20, 2015 at Mission Hospitals-Memorial Campus. A native of Madison County, she was the daughter of the late Marion and Mattie Lowe Frisbee. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Vivian Kaye Haynes and a brother, Lewis Frisbee. Gladys was the consummate mother who always put her family and friends first. She loved tending her garden, cooking delicious meals, and keeping in constant contact with her family and close friends. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Foy Beasley; two daughters, Debbie Biddy and her husband, Daniel, of Eatonton, Georgia and Kathy Sutton of Jasper, Georgia; a son, Mike Haynes of Clyde; a step-daughter, Betty "Susie" Vettor and her husband, Gianfranco, of North Carolina; three step-sons, Roger Beasley and his wife, Gail, and Stanley and Ronald Beasley all of North Carolina; two sisters, Aileen Greene of Waynesville and Hazel Church of Hot Springs; two brothers, Kenneth Frisbee and his wife, Freida, and Grover Frisbee both of Brevard; and 13 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 23, 2015 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Phillip Wyatt officiating. Burial will follow at Keenerville Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Sunday, February 22, 2015 at the funeral home.
