Gladys Edman

Gladys Davis Edman, age 94, passed away Friday, August 26, 2005 at Silver Bluff Nursing Home. A native of Elkhart Indiana, she had resided in Haywood County since 1978. She was a member of Simpson Memorial Methodist Church and Central Christian Church, both of Elkhart, Indiana. She was also a member of the Indiana Grand Chapter of the Eastern Star, Chapter # 181, in which she received a 50 year Gold Pin. She is survived by a daughter, Elinor West of Clyde; a son, Ronald Edman of Fort Meyers Beach, FL.; one sister, Ruth Mermoine Helminger of Mexico Beach, FL.; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 3, 2005 at Bon - A-Venture Cemetery, Old Clyde Road. The family will receive friends at the home of daughter, Elinor West. Memorials may be made to St. Andrews Episcopal Church, 99 Academy Street, Canton, N.C., 28716.
