Gladys Henderson

Canton- Gladys Cook Henderson- age 93 died Tuesday, June 14, 2005 at Silver Bluff Nursing Home. She was a daughter of the late Arthur and Nancy Cathey Cook. She was preceded in death by her husband, Orse Theodore "O.T." Henderson, who died in 1996 and two sons, David T. and Bobby L., Henderson. Mrs. Henderson was also a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons, Jerry A. Henderson and his wife Phyllis of Enka and Phil Henderson and his wife Peggy of Canton; two sisters, Edna Bradley and Geneva Flynn both of Canton; one brother, Ray Cooke; 4 granddaughters and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, June 16, 2005 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services with the Reverend Wayne Willett officiating. Burial will follow in Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends form 2:30 until 3:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Spring Hill Baptist Church, 1918 Murray Road, Canton, NC 28716.
