Gladys Moore

Gladys Lucille Hyder Moore, age 92, passed away on Friday, April 25, 2014 at her residence. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late James Ross and Stella Marie Blackwell Moore. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Bascombe Moore who died August 6, 2002; two brothers, James Ross Hyder, Jr. and Rupert Hyder; a half sister, Frances Ward Banks and two half brothers, Milner and Charles Ward. Gladys will be remembered for being a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother to all her family. She had a wonderful sense of humor and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by a daughter, Marvella Moore Edwards of Canton; a son, James Daniel Moore and his wife, Kay, of Picture Rock, Pennsylvania; five grandchildren, Timothy, David, and Julie Edwards; and Sue and Chad Moore; and six great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with the Reverend Paul Starnes officiating.
