Glenn Monroe Frady, age 81, formerly of Mountain View Drive, died Thursday, August 31, 2006, at Haywood Regional Medical Center. He was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and was the son of the late Mark and Minnie Fox Frady. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Willie Mae Hyde Frady, who died in 2003. Mr. Frady retired from Champion International with 43 years of service and was a U.S. Army Aircorp veteran having served during World War II. He was a member of West Canton Baptist Church, where he served as deacon and taught Sunday school for 49 years. He is survived by a son, Terry Frady and his wife, Dee, of McCarthy, AK; a sister, Katherine Mease and her husband, Grover, of Canton and a brother, Paul Don Frady and his wife, Alice, of Waynesville. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 5, 2006, at the West Canton Baptist Church with the Reverend W. O. "Bill" Henson and Reverend Wallace Britt officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. Monday, September 4, 2006, at Wells Funeral Home of Canton. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to West Canton Baptist Church, 75 Lowe Street, Canton, NC 28716.
