Glenn L White

Glenn L. White passed away on Friday, November 1, 2024, in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family. Glenn was a native of West Virginia and raised on the family farm. He was the son of the late Philip and Fern (Thomas) White. He also is preceded in death by his sister Sharon Bartholomew.

Glenn was a Captain in the United States Army, proudly serving in Vietnam. He attended West Virginia University where he received his master’s degree in civil engineering. Glenn worked for the cement industry for 35 years with Martin Marietta and LaFarge Corporation. Glenn attended Ninevah Baptist Church, and enjoyed the outdoors, woodworking, and playing golf.

Glenn leaves behind his loving wife of 59 years, Jean Rose White; one daughter, Laura Redick (Mark) of St. Louis, MO.; son, Justin S. White (Diana) of Morgantown, WV.; five grandchildren, Philip, Madelyn White, Logan Giuliani (Bo), Ethan and Luke Redick; and one great-granddaughter, Cecilia Giuliani. 

Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Ninevah Baptist Church with Reverend Keith Norris, Reverend Mike Leslie and Reverend Darrell Webb officiating. Military honors will follow. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services.

Memorials may be made to Ninevah Baptist Church, 931 Country Club Drive, Waynesville, NC 28786 or to a charity of your choice.

The care of Mr. White has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home Waynesville
